Enjoy a freshwater fishing adventure on Back Bay, located in southern Virginia Beach, VA. Just west of Sandbridge beach and 20 minutes south of the Oceanfront hotels, the Back Bay watershed covers the southeastern quarter of the City of Virginia Beach, comprising approximately 67,000 acres. We catch a variety of fish including crappie, perch, and largemouth bass .

Eco Tours
For the nature lovers, we are happy to take you on a tour of Back Bay. This ecosystem is one of the most diverse and extensive in southeastern Virginia. Depending on the season, you might expect to see a large variety of waterfowl, turtles, bald eagles and herons. Back Bay consists of sunken Cypress trees, mossy oak, and a variety of sea grasses and evergreens.

Captain Todd has fished the oceans and bays of Virginia, North Carolina and Florida for over 30 years. It is his love of the water and passion for fishing that he hopes to share with his charters. KWCC was established in 2009!

BLIND EXTERIOR (WEST)
Built new with palm leaves for the 2025/26 season. The shoot box is 6ft x 14ft. The boat hide approximately 8ft W x 21ft L x4ft H
BLIND INTERIOR (SOUTH)
Southern end boast an elevated tabletop to accommodate a cooking device and two folding chairs.
BLIND INTERIOR (NORTH)
Northern End has a movable 8ft bench that allows hunting facing east or west depending upon conditions. Shelving on both sides for storing shells with gun notches.
LOCATION
The blind is located on North Back Bay in southern Virginia Beach VA. Boat ramps at North Bayshore Campground (2.5 mi) and DWR Mill Landing (4.5 mi) can be used to access the blind. The average water depth during the season is 5 ft at the blind. Back Bay water levels are wind driven and can fluctuate widely. South winds = higher water North winds = lower water levels.
VIEWS
VIEWS
The blind is in a productive location when waterfowl are present. Various ducks, geese and swans can be harvested from this location. We can't guarantee your success however, we are confident you will enjoy your surroundings. The box can be set up to hunt facing east or west and has 360* view and shooting area.
